7. Police Story 3 (Supercop 3)

Before Jackie Chan started making those silly American films he’s known for in the West like Rush Hour and Shanghai Noon, he was known to many people as the supercop. Part 3 had some of the best fight scenes and featured Michelle Yeoh in one crazy over the top stunt involving riding a motorcycle on a moving train.

6. Wheels on Meals

Wheels on Meals has the distinction of being one of the few movies that feature Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung and Yuen Biao, all alums from the great Beijing Opera. (The other movie I can think of is Project A). One of the funniest moments is when they all fight each other all in good fun. The film also features a great fight scene between Jackie and Benny “The Jet” Urquidez, 6 time world kickboxing champion. He’s one fast dude.

Benny is just flippin fast.

5. Tom Yum Goong

Tom Yum Goon or as it is known in the States as Protector, was the follow up movie to Ong Bak. It promised more action more stunts, more fighting. This time around, Tony Jaa’s one liner, “Where is Ong Bak?” was replaced by “Where is my elephant?” My favorite scene by far is the “bone breaking orgy” that ensues when Tony’s character learns of the fate of his elephant. One thing to note is that Tri Nguyen, former member of the US Wushu Team, is one of the bad guys.

Tony goes on a bone crunching frenzy.
