The older these 2 icons get, the more childlike they regress. I can’t bear to watch another Jackie Chan movie targeted towards pre-teens.
But….fight scenes did rock!
How can martial arts schools capitalize on these types of movies without spending large advertising $$?

From what I understand martial arts schools get promotional material from these movie releases. Perhaps you could come up with additional signage or posters that say “Learn the fighting skills from the Forbidden Kingdom” , etc. Doing movie outings and bringing your non-kung fu friends along might also help. The problem is that all my friends are either already doing wushu or they never will. Any other thoughts?

I think you could also try to reenact fight scenes from the movie, and maybe show them off at demonstrations pointing out that they are from that movie. “Do you all remember that great fight scene from The Forbidden Kingdom between Jackie Chan and Jet Li, the first one ever, well here are two of our students performing that scene.” You could also try to reenact the last scene for competition demonstrations, or just larger demos, where you can also get some of the younger students involved to attract kids from the audience.
